Small Changes | Lindsay @ Simply Sustainable Parenting
Small Changes is our Q&A Series with Women in Sustainability. The Tiny Earth Community believes strongly that small changes, over time, can lead to really meaningful impacts on our planet. This week, we spoke to Lindsay from Simply Sustainable Parenting.

Tell us who you are and a little bit about yourself?

My name is Lindsay and I run @simply.sustainable.parenting where I empower parents to make intentional decisions for our children and their planet.

What first got you interested in sustainability?

When my husband and I decided that I would stay home after the arrival of my daughter I went down a cost savings and sustainability rabbit hole. I learned of all the money I could save by making more sustainable choices and then once my daughter was born those decisions were solidified by a desire to preserve our planet for her generation.

Do you have a little one in your life?

Yes! I live in Cincinnati, OH with my husband and two-year-old daughter and we are expecting our son this August.

What is one thing our readers should think about when purchasing children's clothing?

Keep it simple and make it last. I am so thankful that we decided to dress my daughter simply because now many of her clothes will be passed down to my son. We keep a very minimal wardrobe for everyone in our home and it makes life so much easier with the added benefit of being sustainable.

Favorite sustainable solution for climate change?

Consuming less. We live in such a consumeristic world that it is hard to remember that we actually don't NEED most of the things we own. Thinking about what we buy differently can significantly reduce waste and aid in stopping climate change.
